The Edo State authorities has confirmed the loss of life of a pregnant girl at Stella Obasanjo Hospital in Benin and 15 others in different COVID-19 services.
Coronavirus Case Administration chief, Dr. Ebomwonyi Osagie made the disclosure at a briefing on Monday.
The official confirmed that the victims weren’t vaccinated.
The pregnant girl, 33, died three hours after presentation on the Stella Obasanjo Hospital.
She was about 28 weeks pregnant and was battling with pre-eclampsia.
Osagie mentioned the deceased had COVID-19, which pushed her extra towards growing pre-eclampsia after which loss of life.
