Speaker of the Home of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has expressed disappointment after the cardboard reader at his polling unit failed in the course of the Lagos native authorities elections.
Gbajabiamila said this whereas chatting with Channels Tv on Saturday.
He mentioned the incident was an indication that Nigeria isn’t prepared for digital transmission of outcomes.
Referencing election officers, the Speaker said that the cardboard reader failed as a result of poor community protection.
This assertion is coming days after the Nationwide Meeting handed the electoral modification act which gave conditional energy to the Impartial Nationwide Electoral Fee to transmit outcomes electronically.
